Self-Service Will
Our Self-Service Will allows you to create your will online at your own pace, using our step-by-step guidance to make the process simple and straightforward.
You can start, stop, and return at any time, giving you the flexibility to fit the process around your schedule. This option is perfect for those who prefer a quick and independent approach to will writing while still ensuring that all essential details are covered. With clear instructions thoughout, you'll have everything you need to confidently complete your will in a way that reflects your wishes.
Guided Service Process
Thank you for considering our Guided Service. Below, we outline the steps to ensure a smooth, straightforward experience.
Step 1: Initial Consultation
We'll schedule a 15-minute chat. It can be by phone, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom. The purpose of this call is to:
- Understand your estate planning requirements.
- Answer any questions you may have.
Step 2: Proceeding with a Will Only
If, as a result of the initial consultation, you decide to proceed with a will only:
- We will book a follow-up call to take your instructions.
- Before the call, we’ll send you a checklist of information required, including:
- Names of executors.
- Names of guardians (if applicable).
- Names of beneficiaries.
- Correct spellings, addresses, and dates of birth.
During the call, we will gather all necessary details to draft your will. Payment will be collected at this time.
Step 3: Interested in Full Estate Planning
If you are interested in our full estate planning service:
- We will book a follow-up call.
- Before this call:
- You will receive a link to a secure portal.
- Within the portal, we will ask you to provide details about your assets.
- Submit this information in a secure manner.
We will use this information to prepare an Estate Planning Report. This report will:
- Address any areas of concern.
- Suggest solutions, which may include:
- Writing or updating your will.
- Setting up trusts.
- Establishing powers of attorney.
- Include associated costs.
Cost: There is a £100 charge for the report. But, this fee is offset against the cost if you choose to proceed with our recommendations. Please note: There is no obligation to proceed after receiving the report.
Step 4: Taking Instructions
Before taking instructions, we will email you a checklist. It will list the required information, such as:
- Names of executors.
- Names of guardians (if applicable).
- Names of trustees.
- Names of attorneys.
- Names of beneficiaries.
You will also need to have ready the correct spelling of names, addresses, and dates of birth. Payment will be collected at this time.
Step 5: Document Drafting
Before taking instructions, we will email you a checklist. It will list the required information, such as:
- We will draft your documents based on the provided information.
- Drafts will be sent to you through a secure method for review.
- You will check the contents and confirm the accuracy of spellings and details.
Once you confirm the drafts, we will produce your final documents.
Step 6: Delivery and Signing
We will send your completed documents to you via recorded delivery. Included in the package will be:
- Guidelines for the correct signing and witnessing of your documents.
Step 7: Secure Document Storage
Our service includes secure document storage. If you wish to use this service:
- Return your signed documents using the self-addressed envelope provided.
- Once stored, you will receive an email containing:
- A certificate with your document storage number.
- Details on how to retrieve your documents.
